I don't even remember when was the first time I visited Melaka. I've lost count how many time I visited Melaka. But, there is something special about this trip. This visit became a catalyst in establishing a family 'club', Keluarga Ceria Mat Tamin. This was the first time we holidayed together for more than 3 families.

Originally, we planned just to attend a wedding of our relative in Melaka. Since it was held during the school holiday, my brother rented a house owned by the Jabatan Hutan (He worked at the Jabatan Hutan) for two days. The house is situated inside the Taman Rekreasi Ayer Keroh. He invited any relatives who wants to attend the wedding to stay with his family, at the house. Unexpectedly, 7 families agreed, so we planned the trip more thoroughly. Each family must bring their own personal effects, but we shared foods, cooking equipments and utensils.

Taman Rekreasi Ayer Keroh offered so much more than the usual park. Beside the usual lake, Taman Rekreasi Ayer Keroh has a small suspension bridge, several dinosaur's replicas, playground, jogging track even a small library that they named Kampung Buku. Our time was full with various activities. On the first night we had a BBQ. In the morning, we went to the 'kenduri', visit some attractions in Ayer Keroh, makan durian and at night, we went to Bandar Hilir. In between we explore the park. Even though, I already visited most of these places before but, when there were more people the environment was different. It became more livelier & more happening. 

My other brother suggested we extend our holiday to visit his house at Tiara Beach Resort, Port Dickson. Some of us who had no other commitment agreed and off we go to PD.

After we gone home, we were still remembering how much fun we had during this gathering. One of my sister suggested we plan one more gathering just like this one. So, a year after this trip, we managed to organized our first family gathering under the name Keluarga Ceria Mat Tamin.
